The Construction Authority for Potable Water & Wastewater (CAPW) has entrusted ECG the master-planning, detailed design, and tender documents for the Wastewater Treatment Plant for the New Administrative Capital (Phase 1). The project has a capacity of 150,000 m3/day, expandable to a maximum capacity of 2,200,000 m3/day.
Wastewater treatment processes are designed according to the latest local and international standards; this includes tertiary treatment, as well as nitrogen and phosphorus removal, to meet the requirements of the “Egyptian Code for the Reuse of Treated Wastewater for Agricultural Purposes.”
