Critical Asset Resilience Program (CARP) – Doha South Area

Project Description

The project aims to upgrade the capacity of the storm water assets and solve the possible flooding issues for five (5) locations in different areas within Doha South.
The works addressed by the project comprises design, supply, execution, testing and completion of surface water networks, storage tank, pumping stations, emergency flooding areas and earth barrier/bunds as well as remediation of defects of existing surface water network, if found. The eight locations are as follows:
• Location 1 – Mamoura Tunnel (E-Ring): Collection capacity enhancement by adding channel in the low point of the underpass
• Location 2 – C23-1 (Junction of Ahmed Bin Ali Street with Mohammad Bin Thani Street – TRN Routes): 1,380-meter micro-tunnel (dia: 1,400 mm) connected to AGO micro-tunnel
• Location 3 – C39-1, C39-2 and C52-1 (Junction of Rawdat Al-Khail with C-Ring Road and the surrounding areas – TRN Routes): 1,645-meter micro-tunnel with pipe diameters ranging from 800mm to 1,000 mm
• Location 4 – C160 (C-Ring Road near Old Airport Road – TRN Routes): 450 m of storage pipes with diameters ranging from 1,200 mm to 2,000mm
• Location 5 – C145 (Al Wakra Area – TRN Routes): 3,750-meter pipeline with diameters ranging from 300 mm to 800 mm
