Critical Asset Resilience Program (CARP) – Doha North Area

Project Description

The project aims to upgrade the capacity of the storm water assets and solve the possible flooding issues for eight (8) locations in different areas within Doha North.
The works addressed by the project comprises design, supply, execution, testing and completion of surface water networks, storage tank, pumping stations, emergency flooding areas and earth barrier/bunds as well as remediation of defects of the existing surface water network, if found. The eight locations are as follows:
• Location 1 – Bani Hajer & Qatar Academy area: 84.823 m bund wall and 1,300 m of storage pipes (300 mm to 1000mm dia.).
• Location 2 – New Al Rayyan:1000mm bypass pipe to connect to SW2A.
• Location 3 – Dukhan Central – Duhaliyat: 2 bund walls with 222 m total length, 2 new proposed ponds/EFAs (449 m3 and 662 m3), 3 existing EFAs to be upgraded (2827 m3, 4850 m3 and 7124m3) and abandoned pipes (3x400mm and 1x500mm)
• Location 4 – Al-Wajba Underpass: 3 bund walls with 493 m total length and additional channels in the lowest points
• Location 5 – Al-Rayyan Interchange: A channel in the lowest points in the underpass
• Location 6 – Al-Jahhaniya Interchange at MOQ (TRN Route): 392 m long bund wall
• Location 7 – C4-1 between Lusail Exp. and West Bay St.: 64 m3 offline tank and 49 m of 600 mm pipeline.
• Location 8 – along Orbital Road (TRN Route): 245 m long bund wall at 0.60 m height
