Job description:
Leadership & Project Management:
- Lead and manage sustainability projects from conceptual design to final implementation, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Guide and mentor a team of engineers, architects, and analysts to achieve project goals and professional development.
- Oversee project documentation, stakeholder engagement, and reporting processes.
Sustainable Building Design & Implementation:
- Implement sustainable design strategies, including energy modeling, daylight optimization, and indoor air quality management.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to incorporate sustainability criteria in building design and construction phases.
- Ensure projects meet green building certification requirements (LEED, BREEAM, WELL, Mostadam, EDGE, Envision, Parksmart, etc.) and support the application process.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical leadership on sustainable building materials, water management, renewable energy integration, and waste minimization.
- Conduct sustainability assessments, such as Life Cycle Analysis (LCA), Energy Audits, and Carbon Footprint evaluations.
- Develop sustainability plans, guidelines, and best practices for building operations and maintenance.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations, building codes, and sustainability standards.
- Prepare technical reports, sustainability impact assessments, and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.
Innovation & Strategy:
- Identify and integrate innovative technologies and practices in green building design.
- Develop sustainability strategies that align with organizational goals and contribute to the achievement of long-term environmental targets.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, project partners, and community organizations.
- Lead sustainability workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Professional certifications such as LEED AP, WELL AP, EDGE, Parksmart are highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in green building, sustainable design, or environmental project management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in sustainability software (e.g., EnergyPlus, IES VE, Ecotect), building performance analysis, and project management tools is a plus.
- Experience in high-rise buildings and coordination on large-scale projects
- Leadership Skills: Strong team leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a proven track record of preparing and delivering high-quality technical documentation and presentations.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
