Project Description
The main project comprises design services related to the water transmission system of Mountain Access Roads/Oxagon to the Red Desert (upper valley). Its aims at providing the necessary infrastructure to deliver water from Oxagon desalination plant to upper valley and consists of four pumping stations and a transmission line of DN 1,800 mm carbon steel pipes.
The project encompasses three access roads: Access Road-2 (RD-2), Access Road-4 (RD-4), and Access Road-9 (RD-9). RD-2 has a length of approximately 14 km and runs through a valley located in mountainous area. This road is aimed to accommodate special trucks transporting 27-meter pipes and trucks transporting tunnel excavated rocks. RD-4 has a length of approximately 2.4 km to serve tunnel-2 and links with highway 80. RD-9 has a total length of 5 km and starts at bridge and is to be used for storm drainage from the flooded area in the foot of the mountain on the other side.
